Festivalul MOD.EU – European Mode & Design

Aseară am fost la petrecerea de teasing pentru anunţarea noului Festival “€œMOD.EU European Mode & Design” care a avut loc la Fratelli Expresso Bar. MOD.EU îşi propune să prezinte diferite expresii ale modei şi designului contemporan din toate ţările membre ale Uniunii Europene. Prima ediţie, care se va desfăşura în perioada 21-27 iunie 2010 la Bucureşti, are că temă ecologia şi mediul înconjurător. Ideea lui Philippe Guillet de Saint Mart, directorul artistic al festivalului, mi se pare foarte tare! Bravo!

Designerul român Lena Criveanu a decis să fie parte din această nouă manifestare a modei şi designului. Ea a invitat toţi oamenii care se consideră MOD.EU să se alăture evenimentului şi să vină la acest party. Foarte multă lume trendy şi cool din Bucureşti a fost prezentă, ceea ce înseamnă că se regăseşte în conceptul MODE.EU. Tu eşti MODE.EU? Sper că vei fi.

Who are the Modeux? What do they do? Is it good being a Modeux?
In fact, the Modeux is the new more interesting way of being in fashion without following the trends, which will just be a fashion victim, nothing of what Modeux promotes. Modeux are the informed cultivated ones, with their eyes open to any changes in perception, style and fashion.

When you speak of a Modeux you usually speak of a designer or of an important person that creates the trends and influences the moment. The Look is something that remains unchanged once it’s found, being an expression of identity, not of the various trends. The Modeux are usually considered “classical”, using all the time an accent or a distinctive voice that interpretates the classical, fashion experts and highly attached to culture, knowledge and information. What they wear: white, black, navy blue, army kaki, all scales of gray, beige in the summer and, sometimes, associated colors that represent them and avant-garde the trend. Litterature, exhibitions, happenings, film, theatre, opera, ballet, clubs, restaurants, pubs and bars chic, these are the places you could find them in. They are usually important people in the field of fashion, stylists, designers, creators, artistic directors, journalists etc. “A Modeux is an opinion leader” – Ascon Matin.
