Madonna the new Dolce & Gabbana campaign image

Madonna amaze the world again as she joins the forces with the great Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana to showcase their upcoming spring/summer 2010 collection ad campaign. The outstanding designers, Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, expressed their opinion of this collaboration: “To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true”.

The famous fashion photographer Stephen Klein shot the adverts of a Sicilian-themed Madonna in Brooklyn, New York. He mentioned that these shots expose Madonna in intimate and real aspects of her life. The shooting of Dolce & Gabbana ad campaign is inspired by Italian Neorealism cinema.

“It seemed only fitting that Madonna, who embodies both the strong sensuality of the bran and who shares and Italian heritage with the designers should be the one to showcase the Sicilian inspired collection”, the designers stated on their upcoming collection.

Madonna first encounter with Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana goes back to the early 90’s at the set of her movie Dick Tracey. Also D&G designed the costumes of her 1993 “The Girlie Show Tour” and lately her “Sticky & Sweet” trek around the globe. Madonna’s boyfriend Jesus Luz has also worked with Dolce & Gabbana in their Autumn/Winter 2009 menswear collection ad campaign.
